INRODUCTION
Before our lord Jesus Christ was glorified, He had said words to His disciples-
If you love me, keep my commandments. And i will
pray the father, and he shall give you another
comforter, that he may abide with you forever;
Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot
receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth
him: but ye know him; for hedwlleth with you,
and shall be with you. "I will not leave you
comfortless: I will come to you.
John 14:15-18
Jesus says i will not leave you comfortless, which is the Greek word 'orphanos'
from which he get the word 'orphanns' in the English language. Again in verse
16, He says i will pray the father and he will give you another comforter which
is 'parakletos' in the Greek and it means an intercessor, an advocate or a
counsellor.
In the above scriptures, we see what Jesus says ways He would do and He
would not do. In other words, Jesus was saying what He would do is talk
to His father (and you can be sure He would answer Him), to give you a
comforter 'parakletos', one who would ensure you cannot be disadvantaged
and helpless. This is God's greatest gift to the believer. Acts chapter 2 shows
the fulfilment of this promise which Paul further emphasized in Romans
chapter 8v26-
And when the day of pentecost was fully come,
they were all with one accord in one place. And
suddenly there a sound from heaven as of a
mighty wind, and it filled all the house where
they were sitting . And there appeared unto
them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat
upon each of them. And they were filled with the Holy
Ghost, and they began to speak with other tongues,
as the Spirit gave them utterance. And they were
dwellimg at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of
every nation under heaven.
Acts 2:1-5
Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities:
for we know not what we should pray for as we
ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession
for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
Romans 8:26
This says a lot. If indeed this is reality today which we know is according
to the scriptures above, then believers ought to be the most privileged
people on earth today because the believer possesses the greatest gift
ever. But this does not seem to be the case as many believers not only
live like orphans but bear that identity before the world.
The believer is supposed to be the example of a standard to the world
because we have the Holy Spirit in us-the maker and beginning of all
things. He is the best that the father has given us. But sadly most
believers have become the laughingstock of their world, living in
shame and without help.
A lot of believers are not enjoying His majesty to them because they
do not know Him neither do they fully understand His ministry to them.
This BOOK (post) will introduce the ministry of the Holy Spirit to you,
creating an understanding of the true personality of the Holy Spirit,
how to relate with Him and how to enjoy His help.
This BOOK (post) would also help you open up to a life of possibilities
and complete victory by the help of the Holy Spirit, empowering yo to
move thus in the fullness of the power that He provides.
to be continued.
